vocalist and musicians. This CD features songs written and produced by Mbaji
who is well known for his hits on jazz giant Donald Byrd. Retrospect features
artists from groups like Rolls Royce, The JB's and Lakeside, and Dynasty.This
CD takes you back to vintage R&B with tastes of Funk, Jazz and Euro grooves
sprinkled in. Mbaji wanted to go back to his early writing years to capture the
flavors and vintage retro grooves of the 70's and 80's . Powerfull vocalist and
funky bands and balladeers dominated the music scene back then, these
elements are incorporated into RETROSPECT.
